Great experience with staff from reception to kitchen/ serving staff. Clean and well maintained hotel.

Small loud room, terrible breakfast

So glad we only booked one night as a stop over location. Our room was so small, and you could hear everything outside the room very loud. Hair dryer hardly had any power. Breakfast selection was poor quality - actually got sick from something I ate that morning.
Otherwise, the front desk staff were very nice, and the location was quiet and central.

Many good aspects, but potential for improvement. The house is managed very professionally, and the room was well-equipped.

The house is managed very professionally, and the room was well-equipped, also with a luggage boy and a safe. The window is fitted with a fly screen, which is appreciated because no mosquitoes are a bother. The blackout was convincing, as was the good mattress. Only the much too thin duvet remains incomprehensible, as I found it too cool in May (!).
A bothersome sound (general exhaust?) disturbed, even with the window closed. The number of power outlets must be clearly improved, and the outdated key system should be questioned.
At breakfast, one must obtain the tea water from the coffee machine, which regularly resulted in very brown water. Pure hot water must be offered in another way. The very fine bread with grains and the fresh fruits were convincing. Only fried bacon was also missing here.

Terrible beds, small room, dirty carpet

Terrible hard beds, dirty carpets, small bathroom, need to be a giant to get into the tub, thread bare towels, stuffy, cheap decor, safe does not work, breakfast so, so. One chair. no nice lobby. Certainly not a room you want to spend any time in. Rate it a 2 out of 10.

Excellent hospitality.

Hotel Globo is situated about a 15-minute walk from the Old Town, close enough to be by the action, but far enough away so you get a good night’s sleep away from the noise. The drapes provide terrific room darkening.

I started with a small room on my first night and then moved to a suite on my second night (due to a problem in my small room the first night), the transfer of rooms courtesy of the fabulous staff. They really cared that I had a good experience and a good room. They even gave me a box of chocolates for my troubles.
You will enjoy your stay here, and the excellent customer service provided by the staff.
The breakfast included a wide variety of hot foods, cold meats and cheese, yogurts, fruit and pastries. The staff really strive to exceed your expectations. If you don’t care for the machine coffee, they will make a latte in the kitchen and bring it to you! (Tip the hardworking person who dies that for you.)
I loved that the air conditioning worked so well.
