Nice hidden gem at the edge of the Riva!

Great little gem right on the edge of the Riva. This boutique hotel is tucked back an alley way not accessible by car so you will need to use the address of local restaurant at the bottom of the hill by the main road for any Uber pick up/drop off. We opted to do the “breakfast option” but in hindsight would not have, the breakfast is not “on site” you are given vouchers to two local restaurants you need to walk to. Had we known we would have had to get dressed and leave the property every day would have just skipped that option and explored different places in town each day. The rooms were well appointed. We were on top floor 2 bedroom 1 bath suite with another couple. Comfy beds, nice shower, good AC! and friendly staff. We were greeted with a welcome drink at check in and they have beer, soda, water and snacks available for purchase in the lobby and reasonably priced, beat walking in the heat to the local supermarket to get a water when needed. There is no elevator so be prepared for steps and carrying luggage but property was gorgeous, nice second floor covered balcony overlooking the pool to relax and lounge on in the mornings and evenings. Pool was great, towels provided. Hotel also has beach towels you can take off site for a beach day which was a nice plus. Pool did get crowded some days but most days were typically able to find a lounger and relax in the pool. Would book again!

Very good overall stay at Hotel Agava, very cosy hotel with a very good location just a few minutes walk from the Riva and the old town. Nice with a pool and very friendly staff. Also very nice bathroom, shower and Rituals toiletries. However Hotels.com should update its booking site, as the brochure said that the hotel had 2 beach bars, which it doesn’t, there is only a fridge with drinks that you can pay for. Also, it should be clearer that you don’t get your own terrace in the room, there is instead a common terrace on the first floor that you share with all the guests. Further, the breakfast you pay for is in a nearby restaurant and the food was not to our liking and they should disclose in the brochure that the voucher is only for 1 meal and 1 drink per voucher, so you can’t have both a water and coffee for instance, you can only have one. We also had an ant problem in our room.

Cute boutique hotel with a pool, near central Split

This is a charming small hotel in a great location. It is on an alley (no vehicles) an easy walking distance to the waterfront and Diocletian's Palace. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable. The small pool was a perfect way to cool down during the afternoon heat between sightseeing. The staff were friendly and professional.

This hotel is fantastic. It's a small boutique type hotell with amazing service from staff and a nice courtyard pool. Good location as well. Wonderful little patio/terass on second floor you can relax in too.

A small discovery not to be missed if you are looking for peace and quiet

A small hotel very well located near the port and away from the noise. The triple rooms are not large (our 10-year-old grandson was with us) and there is little storage space. But the welcome is nice and the hotel pool is a real joy after a day of walking around. The price asked is quite reasonable.
The voucher system for breakfasts is too restrictive. Prefer the freedom to choose your breakfast each day at the time you like and where you wish. However, there is a driver available (Davor) and it is worth moving around with him. He speaks English very well and knows his region.
