Very welcoming and helpful hosts.
Fantastic breakfast , nothing to much trouble for them.
Clean room would stay there again.

Tatty, unclean, unfriendly and absence of customer service

Interesting. Spit and sawdust place laughingly charging £99 for a night. Poor service, awful breakfast - warm milk, warm juice, no sugar, and told that were not entitled to cooked breakfast due to not being sat down at 0945, having turned up at 0955. To spend 5 minutes cooking a bacon sandwich seemed too much, yet the owner sat with a family member chatting rather than offering this tiny bit of customer service means I would never return. Bit of a joke of a place really, tatty and unclean. Towels falling apart, bathroom rotting away. Beware!!

Appalling - we stayed only one night of our intended holiday

There is absolutely no parking whatever - anywhere.
There was no evening meal available - the 'host' did not tell us till we went down to the bar at 7.30, whereupon we had to scour East Devon for some food.
Avoid this place at all costs

Nice friendly service

We stayed here for a night on our touring holiday and the new people running the place made us feel very welcome. The room we had was newly refurbished and was lovely with everything you needed for a comfortable stay. There was even help showing us where to park he car overnight. We had drinks in the bar and the breakfast the next morning was delicious too. Great stay

Very welcoming local

We popped in for a quick pint whilst on holiday in the area. We couldn't have found a friendlier pub. The staff are fantastic and the locals made us feel so welcome - we didn't want to leave.. So ordered a pasty, which was delicious and another pint! What a lucky find
