You won’t be disappointed

Birthday celebration and it was excellent a hidden gem Al fresco dinner with amazing view. Service was attentive and friendly but professional food stunning large portions couldn’t eat it all. Cooked to perfection crab and prawn Bon Bon starter rump of lamb main with dauphinois potatoes and an assortment of different vegetables in a wonderful lunch rich sauce. Surprise complimentary birthday dessert.

Unexplained room downgrade.

On arrival our superior double booking was downgraded without explanation to a very shabby, grubby double. When we queried this and showed them our booking confirmation, they had no explanation and said that no other rooms were available (we were later told that this was incorrect and that other rooms were available).
I would love to have an apology and explanation for this terrible treatment.
The dinning room and food were very good.

Our friends son’s room was dirty. He was moved to another room and that has bed bugs! He ended up sleeping in the car. The hotel is undergoing some refurbishment which it needs as the rooms and public areas are rather tired looking. On the plus side the staff are friendly and helpful and the restaurant is good.

Perfect to a 'Tea' !!

A 'sort of' surprise 80th birthday party for one of our 'gang'. The lady who showed us to our table in the first place was lovely - she explained that she had thought about seating us outside but that it would have been a bit cramped so she set up a table in the open window area which was just as good. She was attentive, joked with us, we teased her and we all had a lovely afternoon. I think she must have gone 'off duty' before we left because it was a younger lass who took over - she was equally pleasant. All in all, a lovely afternoon
Oh, and the cakes were DELICIOUS !!!!!

Room not that clean, amenities empty, bed squeaked on the slightlest move, Cobb webs all over the windows that only opened a little, so hot in the room could hardly sleep. Had to lug our luggage from America up the stairs. Chairs in sitting area dusty. No where was it made clear no elevator and a lot of stairs. Tripped over raised areas very dangerous. The young man who checked us in was pleasant. Girl who tried to help in the bar was nice, just seemed we were in of season .
