Lovely stay

Beautiful building. Rooms were lovely and clean. Fresh towels. Easy check in and check out. Stayed 3 nights 12th 15th March. Everything you need is within walking distance. Booked package with EasyJet very cheap. I would definitely return.

I thought the place was really cute when I arrived. It’s very traditional. The problem is that there’s no elevator and there is absolutely no help with the baggage and you have to walk up 50 or 60 stairs for to get to the second floor if you have heavy luggage is there is absolutely no help from the staff and upon asking they just simply saying the answer is NO. Upon asking twice she says it’s a one star hotel, and that they don’t have any services. It seems a bit better than a one star hotel. The breakfast is really nice. Typical European outside patio is nice. It’s pretty adequate overall. It’s just that I don’t like the fact that there is absolutely no help with anything. Also, the keys locked me out of the room two separate nights had to go back down to the desk, which is across the street to get them to re-code the keys in the middle of the night.

The room keys are very sensitive and kept getting erased, which meant I had to go back to reception multiple times during my trip to get them reset and working again.
The hotel is basic, but very comfortable and full of character, located in a quiet part of town, yet very central.

Hotel was fine but the booking experience leaves something to be desired

This hotel is convenient to the train and beach without being overly noisy. I brought my kids for one night as a kind of 'staycation' from a nearby town while public school teachers were on strike. We got an attic room with three beds and it was all sorted in the end, but I was unhappy with how the booking went. I thought I had it all arranged through Booking.com, but the hotel wants you to disclose your payment details, etc. through another 3rd party site. I ended up paying in person at the reception at a nearby affiliated hotel and it worked out. For the day leading up to our stay I was unhappy to have a non-refundable reservation where the reply about 3 beds vs. sleeps 3 was 'subject to availability' even though I'd selected what I wanted through Booking already. I'd also mention that the art theme rugby-players'-crotches suggests I'm not their target demographic, but this place is nice enough for a short stay.

This hotel hasn't got a reception desk. Check in is done at the sister hotel, Medium Romantic, which is nearby. The staff at the reception was very wellcoming and helpful. Breakfast, at an extra cost, is also served here. Very good, plenty of choices, great staff. Highly recommend the breskfast.
Our room was clean and good size with a balcony to seat out. Air condotining was goo and effective. Plenty storage for our clothes. Would've liked the matress to be more comfortable. The building is lovely but being old sound proofing wasn't very effective. At times we could hear noise from rooms next to us and hallway. Room was cleaned daily.
Overall, happy with our stay.
