Excellent.

Harmonious place, quiet and excellent hosts. Location with private park, beautiful views and with natural surrounding ;) Very clean rooms and extremely friendly and helpful hosts. Family feeling, highly recommended.

It's not what they advertise

Rural house, not hotel.
From the moment you enter the premises it looks bad and smells bad.
Correct breakfast.
Spacious rooms but the floor makes a horrible noise wherever you step. You can hear EVERYTHING from next door, above and below.
There is no hair dryer or gel in the bathroom, we had to buy it. The towels will be washed but dark in areas, maybe with a little bleach....
We would not repeat at all.

Family run hotel with small holding

This little hotel has it all. Clean, comfy with a good range of toiletries and a room with views towards Potes and the mountains around. We were intrigued to see the patron training his griffon vulture (?), feed his horses and then hear the peacocks in the morning. Breakfast was initially disappointing with two slices of thick white sliced toast, but do leave space for the Spanish equivalent of welsh cakes that arrive later. An experience!

Wonderful accomodations and wonderful people.

We have stayed at Haras Aritza on three different occasions and our expectations have been exceeded each time. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and our hosts, Angel and Maria del Mar have been extremely gracious and helpful. I will be staying here again and I also recommend this posada to my friends.

Haras Aritza - home from home

A very comfortable and friendly B&B just outside Potes, run by a local family who know the area very well. A traditional style house that is easy to find, well signposted off the main road from the coast. We liked the rural surroundings with horses, sheep, peacocks and even an eagle, the great mountain views, but above all the hospitality. The rooms are comfortable and immaculately kept. Angel the host is a great source of information on the local area and never tires of drawing detailed maps to get to the best places for scenery and local produce. The breakfast 'frisuelos' that Maria serves up will keep you going till dinner time. Artos, their son, speaks English but if you stay long enough, you are bound to pick up some Spanish! We stayed for a week, and felt part of the family by the time we left. It is a place we will definitely go back to. 5 estrellas!
