Brilliant stay

Booked a 3 night short break and would highly recommend this hotel.
We received a warm welcome with a glass of cava. Staff were friendly and informative.
The location is great. It’s on the front and a short walk to either Cala Bona or Cala Millor - we preferred Cala Bona. Supermarkets and bars next door too.
Clean and comfortable rooms. Decent storage and air con. The only downside for us was the side room onto the street so not a brilliant place to sit out. We were towards the front though so could just about see the sea! This was probably due to booking last minute!
Pool was great! Never busy and always plenty of sunbeds no matter what time of day. The bar and snack bar were reasonably priced. Evening entertainment was okay with bingo and a singer.
Breakfast was hot and plentiful. We ate in the restaurant two of our nights. The first was fine with curry. The last night wasn’t so good (choice wise) so just had a small salad then ate out later. We did receive another glass of free cava though due to it being our last night which was a nice touch.
Would definitely stay again but try to book a better room on the front.

Great hotel

This was our tenth stay at the Bonamar. Great location, lovely rooms and a fantastic pool area with no issues getting a sunbed (although the mattresses need replacing on the Bali beds now) The staff are great. Victoria on reception is always very helpful. Carmen in the restaurant always remembers us and the lovely entertainer Natalie does a fantastic job. She makes sure she gets to know everyone. No pressure to join in activities but everything is so well organised, including the evening entertainment. Some fantastic shows this year. Well done Natalie. She’s a one woman team keeping everything under control.

Nice hotel for Price

Firstly greeted with a glass of Cava, and welcomed.
Room was clean, and perfect for us for 3 nights stay.
Breakfast was ok! Thats all. Nothing fresh but some tinned fruit/melon. The rest being bacon, sausage, ham cheeses etc. not much variety for anything with colour!
You can purchase lunch around the pool, and the prices are pretty steep considering what we saw. They match/or even slightly more than what you can get on the cala bona strip in the restaurants /cafe! They really should consider their pricing, as alot of guests appear to leave the hotel around lunctime because of this to get far better food for their money!
The pool was nice, albeit a little small for the complex i felt and felt crowded most days.
Dinner- was ok. Wasnt our cup of tea and we ate out the other remaining nights.
We was unaware of the system for the evening meal that you need to request if you want the first or second slot to dine.
The location is pretty decent and staff was friendly.
I would have said it was a 4 star pending with certain tweeks. We would return again. But only for 3-4 night stay. Nothing longer.

Rude staff poor food

We arrived very late to the hotel the night porter was lovely but didn’t give out any information gave us a glass of wine and asked if we needed food didn’t bother because of the time.
The next morning I went to reception to ask about the dining situation and the al a cart restaurant was told
In no uncertain terms to read my leaflet when I said not read it yes as arrived late the receptionists Victoria said I suggest you read your leaflet which I thought was very rude so never did get to eat there.
We also found the restaurant manager to be very rude we were sat outside with an e cigarette and was told had to go to the smoking area I told him
I don’t smoke again got a rude reply even though people were vaping at other tables but because they were drinking non stop nothing was said to them.
I felt that repeat customers got treated very differently. We
We’re not the only ones who had a problem with him another guest told us he had asked 4 different people what he needed to do for dinner but never got an answer so when he went to sit on the restaurant was told he couldn’t sit at the table he was at and was told to move very rudely.
The food in the restaurant we find to be very poor who wants pork every night and rubber eggs in the morning so we only ate there twice and ate out the rest of our stay this is not good enough for the price you pay to stay there.
The hotel is very clean but the pools were grubby the sun beds were good.
All in all we were very disappointed with the whole experience with the staff made us feel like we shouldn’t be there.
Would I recommend this hotel no I wouldn’t.

What a wonderful trip!

Our stay was everything we hoped for! My fiancé and I are teachers so wanted a holiday that was relaxing, quiet, in a great location and good food; Bonamar ticked every single box for us!
The hotel was spotless and the staff so assertive, friendly and approachable. There was so much choice for food which was great and we loved that some of it was cooked freshly infront of you whilst you waited! We did get involved in the some of the activities which was great fun and an unknown addition when we booked the trip.
Talking to some people around the poolside, it became apparent that lots of guests were returners which is the highest compliment you can get as a hotel and something we held in high credit.
Thank you so much for making our stay exactly what we needed and we will definitely be returning!
