Fantastically located up-to-date campsite, run by justifiably proud owners who take good care of their welcoming spacious

You know that? A too beautiful and fine location; camping (run by a proud and committed family, for decades), that you think; these people deserve a too review. But.... soon it will be so popular that we have to book far in advance because it has been discovered?
And yet. This campsite is so incredibly beautifully situated. And the facilities are so neat and practical and fine. The owners live on the other side of the road. They have everything up to date in terms of toilet block, kitchen and laundry room and kitchen. And the best part; they make sure it stays neat. Everything is also accessible to people with disabilities. The campsite is also nice for a camping family with little ones (changing room, possibility to bathe or swim. A boat to rent, pedal boats or grill in the BBQ cottage). In bad weather, their hyttes are also highly recommended. And for the tent camper who does not want to stay in the grill house with phenomenal views, a living room with TV is available.
Just 10 minutes from Stryn and a short drive from Olden and Gieranger or the Gamle Strynsvei, simply a fantastic campsite to stay.
With modest but top owners who have arrangement of their pride.

RoomsSeveral hyttes. The simplest 2,3 and 4 have the most fantastic views. So if you are satisfied with beautiful and complete simplicity (without bathroom), you get the view as a treat. The more luxurious hyttes are also good

Lovely 2 night stay.

We had a lovely 2 night stay in this beautiful campsite right on the water in our camper van. The showers are clean and free to use. There’s a large washing machine and tumble dryer which is coin operated, approximately £3.87 each. We really enjoyed our stay.

Spacious and clean cottage with a view

Really nice and friendly camp ground. We had rented a cottage, very spacious and containing all you need, even a dishwasher. 20 m to the lake beach. Friendly welcome by the owner. Barbecues for free use at the lake side and what a view to the glaciers close by. We sure will return to this beautiful place.

Recommended on the strongest

Great cozy space, we slept in tents down by the great area they have by the water, where we bathed and cost us, we were welcomed by friendly owners. Clean and nice toilets/shower, and nice space to wash up and div. Highly recommended! We come back, it was an idyllic place.

Don’t spend your money on this camp site. There are plenty of other places in the area. We got a very nice welcome when checking in by the owner and felt very welcomed. But that feeling didn’t last for long. We took our dog with us to the service building that was not allowed due to the owner that started to yell at us. There was no sign that dogs weren’t allowed. We apologised and said that we were unaware of this. But the owner just continued to yell at us and threatened to throw us out of the camping. She was very aggressive and made us feel so uncomfortable that we decided to leave by on our own. Afterwards we heard from other campers that they had the same experience of the owner. We were several that left that left that evening.
