Nice small boutique hotel.
We managed to get a great last minute deal at the Arka and as the reviews were good we thought we would give it a try.
The hotel is new, only opened October 2025. It is small, only 11 rooms around the pool area. The room was beautiful, really stylish with an outdoor shower/sink and a very private plunge pool. The room was really clean, beds were comfy we were really pleased with it and we liked the little private garden area and plunge pool. However on the first day, even though we had out sign up saying please clean the room this didn’t happen.
The swimming pool was nice, it was a good size with a rain shower at one end, a swim up bar at the other end and plenty of sunbeds around it.
Service was pleasant, especially reception, all the staff seemed very helpful.
The biggest disappointment was the breakfast, which was a very small self serve buffet with a very limited choice, that didn’t change. There was an option to order additional dishes at a cost. We had lunch by the pool and the food was nice and dinner one evening in the restaurant which again the food was pleasant but we were the only people in the restaurant so it lacked a bit of atmosphere. Overall we had a nice stay, in a nice hotel, but it just lacked a bit of the Wow and slickness of service that we have experienced elsewhere in the area.

A wonderful start to our Yucatán trip
The hotel is beautiful, peaceful and full of charm. Our room was spacious, comfortable and spotless, and the overall atmosphere made it easy to relax after a day of exploring.
A special thank you to Leyda, who welcomed us upon arrival. She was incredibly kind, professional and always happy to answer our questions and give us useful recommendations throughout our stay. Her warm hospitality made us feel welcome from the very beginning.
The breakfast was fresh and delicious, and the entire staff was friendly and attentive.
The location is convenient for visiting Tulum and the surrounding attractions. Although the beaches were affected by sargassum during our stay, this is of course beyond the hotel’s control and did not affect our overall experience.
We would gladly stay at Arka Tulum again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and stylish boutique hotel with outstanding hospitality.

Wonderful secluded visit
If you’re a person who needs specifics, the continental breakfast included coffee or juice, fresh fruit with yogurt and granola, some sweet breads, eggs any style, potatoes and toast. Delicious and filling! Bring pesos to tip!
