There was no staff onsite but they send a code to the entrance door and your room door ahead of time. No issues with getting in without staff onsite. Room was clean and perfect for a solo traveler. Enjoyed beers across the street at the neighborhood bar.

Comfortable and clean

Clean and comfortable rooms situated in a quiet small coastal town. Fortunately I had a ground floor room and did not need to haul my suitcase up a flight of stairs. Room doors made a lot of noise and people went in and out of their rooms.

We left a day early as the accommodation was not accurately described or pictured. This is a hostel and not a 3 star hotel. No staff, and slow to respond to email. Room not as pictured, cold and dingy, both hand soap and shower wash dispensers were empty, no kettle as advertised, TV with no channels, socket by bed not working, kitchette for shared use was unclean.
So many good hotels in Iceland so don't waste your time staying here.

We had a great time here in this town and the staff was very friendly and accommodating!

This self serve hotel was very pricey for what you get. There was an “old smell” that didn’t go away even with windows open.
The bathroom grout was mildewy, soundproofing was non-existent.
Spend the extra money, and go to the hotel next door if you can. (They’re managed by the same staff).
