Stay at Stella Maris after a beautiful, slightly cold cruise with Helge

We had a lovely stay with a night stay and a cozy barbecue in some fantastic and quiet surroundings.
The weather was unfortunately not exactly what we had ordered, but it did not prevent the hotel from carrying out the barbecue evening. Instead, it was kept on the terrace in the most beautiful surroundings, which made the experience very special.
The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming and professional, we felt really well received throughout our stay.
All in all a lovely place where we would love to return. A warm recommendation from here!

Lots of positive things. Breakfast was great, we got upgraded to a room with ocean view which made for beautiful scenery, the staff was helpful and friendly. The room was cozy and had all the things we needed.
Our only concern was the cleanliness of the garden. The day before the hotel had hosted a wedding and we found numerous cigarette buds and used napkins around the garden. Fully aware it is a significant task to clean the whole garden but would have expected the hotel and staff would be capable of handling this type of events and the cleaning afterwards.

Charming property

We stayed here to put ourselves in reasonable proximity to Egeskov castle. The property is charming with a pretty view of the water. The room for three was clean. Mattresses were a bit firm, but pillows were soft. The breakfast was nice. The property is not air-conditioned. The only mechanism for cooling down the room was to leave French doors open, so it got a little stuffy at night. Overall, a nice property with a lot of attention to detail.

Perfect stay

In the last weekend of July, we once again had a gourmet stay at Stella Maris, and also this time we had a perfect stay.
Super nice place down to Svendborg Sund. There is quiet and relaxed in the good way, and with the best staff both in the restaurant, reception and bar.
The food was of super high quality, and the wine as well.
We have now been to Stella Maris a number of times, and the level has consistently been very high all the times.
The warmest recommendations from here and we will come back

Sun on a rainy day!

The view from the terrace at Stella Maris is unrivalled. It is a fact. We visited the hotel on a rainy Sunday when the kitchen staff had been free. Instead, the hotel director stood at the barbecue and prepared a sublime evening meal. The weather required us to move together. A cozy and informal atmosphere around the barbecue caused guests from all over Europe to feel a sense of unity that made the conversation go between the tables. Super nice. We will definitely be back next year:-)
