Apartment was in a great location. Clean and appropriate to our needs. Staff were helpful & communication was excellent. There was easy access to public transport if you’re travelling without a vehicle. Close proximity to the beach & Alexandra Headlands surf club. Great food options at club & eateries near by. Walking distance to Mooloolaba & Cotton Tree.

Disappointed
Our third time staying at Mandolin, plus, it had been three years since we had been on a holiday, so decided to ‘treat’ ourselves to an ocean view superior unit. Great facilities, especially for families. The view was magnificent. The unit had been modernised with updated kitchen and bathroom. However, we unfortunately had a unit with a very uncomfortable bed and an equally uncomfortable lounge. Our Bowen Massage Therapist cannot believe what damage the bed has done to our bodies. We also couldn’t hang any clothes in the wardrobe in the main bedroom until we removed deck chairs, wall hanging prints and a clothes airer. Overall, we were very disappointed with the comfort level of the unit considering what we had paid for it. Highly doubt that we will be returning.

Great place to stay
Location was fantastic, close to everything, including bus stop. The resort was just opposite the beach, which was great, and the views from our room fantastic.
Our room was dated but very clean and comfortable, with a great assortment of items in the kitchen, everything we needed plus more.
Our bed was very comfortable and spacious and the showers large with good water pressure.
The staff were fantastic, very friendly and helpful. The pools, tennis courts and mini golf were also very well maintained with no extra charges, which was great.
The only drawback was the noise in the evenings, that came from the people hanging around outside the surf lifesaving club, especially Friday and Saturday nights. We slept with ear plugs but it didn't block out the noise of drunks.

GREAT ESCAPE
We often go to both Sunshine & Gold Coast for short getaways and have tried lots of accommodation places - Mandolin was one of the better ones that we have encountered. Excellent views of the beach & sea both to the north and south from our room. Great location directly opposite the Surf Club. We had a superior room and considered it good value for money in comparison to the current market trend. Everything in the room was spotless and appliances and kitchenware well above average. Had a small problem with the TV initially but it was fixed quickly by an efficient onsite manager. Plenty of room in the parking area with easy entry and exit arrangement. Automated check in was very easy. Check in time of 3pm is a bit late I feel but we got a text before 2 saying we could check in so all good

Million Dollar Views!
Perfect location with million-dollar views. We stayed in Unit 30 (2 bedroom), which was a renovated unit. Clean, neat and tidy and tastefully decorated. It was also one of the best units that I have been to for facilities/utilities in the unit. The Mandolin has a great pool with also a separate kiddies pool. We played tennis and also had fun on the mini-golf course. Excellent location for a variety of restaurants and the Alex Surf Club right across the road. It was our first time staying at Alexander Headlands, and it will now be our favourite coastal destination.
