A perfect retreat for true relaxation!
Gorgeous rooms and great facilities. We stayed in the main hotel building for one night then moved to one of the hives for the second. We really appreciated the little touches like the balloons and card to celebrate a birthday and the little biscuits and milk jars in the room. Your staff really made the difference to our experience. Two members really looked after us, a kind waitress who I unfortunately cannot remember her name and a helpful man I think who is called Buk..? He went above and beyond for us helping out with our hive. The glass room restaurant/bar and the cosy fire place room are both lovely to dine and drink at :)

Perfect pre-wedding accommodation
We stayed in one of the large treehouses for 2 nights in April as a base for our wedding at Grangefields, Ashbourne.
The treehouse is so beautifully designed and genuinely feels like a tardis - we couldn't believe the space inside!
The whole place is just stunning, blubells were aplenty in the grounds and it was the perfect start and end to our wedding.
The treehouse had 2 bedrooms so we could stay in one room and our two best women the night before. There was ample room for preperations - hair, makeup, photographers & videographers in the morning. We also ate in the Garden Room restaurant and the food was beautiful.
We do think that for the price of the rooms at this hotel complimentary breakfast should be a given. We managed to convince the team to include ours but they still maintained that the two best women must pay despite them staying in the treehouse also and our total bill being circa 1k for 2 nights, an evening meal at the restaurant, drinks and massages. To include breakfast for all staying guests would have been welcome.
We had massages and facials at the Coach House which were the best we've had and we would definitely return for that!
Service was good - the young, blonde haired girl on reception (Lillian?! We can't remember) who had only recently started was absolutely fantastic and so personable. The chap who drives the buggies is also very, very nice and was always happy to give us a lift up.
All in all a fantastic stay and we will be back.

If I don't feel welcomed I will not visit again
recently spent two nights at this hotel, having arrived with high expectations for a luxury experience, largely informed by the impressive accolades I had read. Regrettably, my stay fell significantly short of these expectations in several key areas.
To begin, the rooms feel dated and are clearly in need of a comprehensive refurbishment to align with the premium standard the hotel claims to uphold.
On a brighter note, the spa was undoubtedly the highlight of my visit; the massage I received was, without question, one of the finest I have experienced in recent memory.
Needless to say, the beauty of the surrounding countryside and nature is beyond reproach. I thoroughly enjoyed the scenic walks and made great use of the complimentary bicycles provided by the hotel to explore the area
However, the dining experience was profoundly disappointing. Having heard the restaurant was newly renovated, I was eager to experience it; yet, the cuisine was mediocre at best, and the service was lackluster. The demeanor of the waitstaff was bafflingly cold, often treating standard requests as if they were personal burdens rather than professional duties. It frequently felt as though our mere presence was an inconvenience to them, leading one to question whether the staff is unaccustomed to international guests or if there is an underlying bias. The staff, quite consistently, seemed to excel at conveying their disdain through their unwelcoming expressions.
If the management has genuine ambitions to attract and retain international clientele, they must urgently address this culture of hostility.

Beautiful food but pricey
Lovely food at Wild Hive - expensive as expected. Beautiful views on a lovely sunny evening.
The restaurant was not very busy but the service was disappointing - this is my own criticism. When the waiter can’t explain a dish it’s a red light moment. Wrong drinks delivered / no drinks delivered. Very slow service throughout the evening.
Callow Hall is a lovely venue / lots of snug lounges for drinks/coffee, food delicious, great choice of wines.
£280 for dinner for two - 3 courses, wine, coffee, 2 glasses of champers to start & service.

No attention to detail with service
Booked breakfast to celebrate my friends engagement. Had previously rang to ask if there was anything additional they could do and they had said maybe a balloon or a drink. Nothing on arrival and our table was not set up. The staff kept forgetting about cutlery/bowls etc & not attentive at all. I then received the bill and if I had not checked it they would have over charged us by £30. I expected a lot better from Wildhive and will not be back sadly!

This should have been a special occasion, and I completely understand your disappointment that the arrangements discussed prior to your visit were not in place when you arrived. Unfortunately, we were experiencing a Wi-Fi outage that day, which meant we were unable to access all booking details. Whilst this explains why your request was missed, I do understand the disappointment caused, and for that I sincerely apologise.
I'm also sorry to hear that the service felt inattentive, with items being missed throughout your breakfast. This is not the level of service I expect from my team.
I was particularly concerned to read about the billing error. Whilst I'm pleased it was identified before payment was made, I appreciate the frustration this caused and apologise for the oversight.
