Beautiful hotel in a great location for Bath
Could not recommend the hotel more. Their communication in to the lead up to our visit was second to none. The staff were attentive and lovely.
We arrived on a Saturday morning and parked for £10 in the sister hotel The Bird a c.4 minute walk away. Upon entering The Duke we had a warm welcome with a smooth check-in and shown to our a room, the newly renovated Junior Suite. It was stunning.
The room itself was huge. An entry lobby and a huge bathroom with a lovely free standing bath tub as well as a large rainfall shower. The four poster bed was incredibly comfortable. We were saddened to only have one night. There was also a Nespresso machine for your morning coffee.
We had a rather well made espresso martini in the bar before using the free hot tub 20:00-21:00 before bed.
Breakfast in the morning was located downstairs and lovingly decorated. Options included pancakes, omelette, variations of Benedict with a meat and vegetarian cooked breakfast choice also. Coffee and fresh juice. Staff continued to be attentive and it was a lovely fresh meal.
We will definitely return.

Comfort and elegance at the best address in town
What a joy to stay in such an elegant building on this iconic street. Our room was beautiful, immaculately refurbished and the most comfortable bed imaginable. We will most definitely be back.

Dukes Bath Hotel
Dukes Bath Hotel is an excellent hotel situated close to the city centre.
Rooms are excellent and all well equipped.
All staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble much bother for them.
Excellent breakfast choice, something for everyone and excellent service.
Lovely bar area with great patio area for chilling.
I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great location
Dukes is well located in Bath, and parking is just down the road at their sister hotel which is convenient as Bath can be a nightmare for parking otherwise! Less than a 10 minute walk to Pulteney bridge, maybe 10/15 minutes to the circus and royal crescent. Couldn’t get better!
They staff were very accommodating, letting us check in even thought we had arrived earlier than the stated time. We were hoping just to park the car and come back later but they were very obliging! The weather was warm and there was no aircon in the room but a fan had been placed beside the bed and was switched on so the room was cool which I felt was very considerate.
The hotel does seem quiet - we were the only ones using the lovely bar & courtyard in the evening which was lovely for us but unusual for a city centre hotel!
The decor is quirky and it’s clear that a lot of effort has been put in. Or does still need some work just on the finer details - the shower in our room looked really outdated and there were some black marks around the tiles but nothing worth worrying about.
