Modern, clean and good staff. Breakfast was good. Room was spacious for a studio. I was only there for one night; however the room is perfect for an extended stay as it has a kitchen and curtains to divide the living area from the bed.

A cauldron of chaos juxtaposed against a beautiful establishment with attentive staff.
Dear Proprietor(s) of the Home2 Suites by Hilton in Kingston,
My two daughters and I were afforded the opportunity of late to take up lodging at your establishment. Indeed, we were enthused to stay at the newly renovated and opened hotel. Upon arriving in the parking lot and glimpsing the number of vehicles, we posited that players from a local sports tourney must be staying as well. Little did we know what lurked inside the walls of our temporary domicile. Upon entering, we were met with the sights and sounds of The Hoard. A veritable sea of hockey kids was overrunning the facility. It seemed that our peaceful stay was at an end before it began…. we were not wrong. On our first night, we were met with a full-on hockey game occurring in the hallway outside our room. Some 20 odd players with miniatures stick and balls and 2 nets were playing from end to end in the hall and we were caught in the middle. Shouts of :”what’s the score?” and “goal!” rang out amid the cacophony of loud communication between the players as balls bounced off the walls and doors and sticks flew. The game was not even paused whenever we or other non-hockey patrons sought entry to or exited our rooms… While the chaos was palpable, it did slow by 10:30 p.m. As the children ran wild and cavorted unchecked throughout the hallways, the parents took up residence for loud alcohol fueled parties in the common areas on the first floor. Empty cans and bottles were strewn about the hotel and one corner outside a common room had a 4 foot pile of empty pizza boxes as drunken discourse filled the air. Despite the stalwart and best efforts of the hotel staff, the garbage and disorder was ubiquitous. From McDonalds fry boxes to empty drink containers, there was no corner of the hotel left unspoiled. Upon attending the gym we were met with 15 children climbing over and swinging off treadmills, stationary bikes and ellipticals while they threw water cups on the floor, only to be chased out of the room ultimately by a frazzled maintenance man. One particularly bizarre element was a stairwell where apples uneaten, half-eaten or fully consumed were cast throughout the stairs. It was as if an apple cult was carrying out their sacrifices in the stairwell. Little did we know that the worst was yet to come…. The pool, having hosted an ungodly number of the heathens, was turbid as clots of hair floated in the microbiotic soup and the slime of algal biofilms clung to the walls near the pool ladders. Such biological realities paled in comparison to the hockey parent affections that occurred in rooms near us. Drunken shouts of: “you’re my number one draft pick”, “go for the crease” and “put it in the slot” accompanied loud banging of beds plus or minus bodies against walls… It goes without saying that if you’re staying in a hotel in Canada (especially the Home2 Suites by Hilton in Kingston Ontario) ALWAYS ask it the establishment is infested by hockey kids…if so cancel or rebook your reservation…

I was there April 8, 2025. Lots of free parking, well lit at night. Very clean building inside now.. the room was perfect, big TV, full-size fridge, microwave, and had a dishwasher. Marcya on the front desk was amazing. Her customer service is beyond Majestic. Photo from outside the hotel

You owe it to yourself to stay here
Probably the most well thought out hotel anywhere. Room was perfect. bed comfortable. kitchenette. ultra modern and new. everyone was supper pleased with this choice. Breakfast was top notch. Gotta give a heads up to the best desk mnager ever Marcya. She was so much fun and welcoming. She defined hospitality! <3

Majestically awesome hotel
The hotel is very clean inside and out. Rooms are very spacious and clean eith all the amenities. Marcya on the front desk is amazing. She is Majestically Awesome. Her customer service skills are exceptional. I’ll be staying here my next time in Kingston.
