A True Luxury Escape in Almaty – Worth Every Penny
From the moment we entered Swissôtel, we were greeted with lush greenery, warm hospitality, and impeccable luxury. A free upgrade to a deluxe panoramic room was a wonderful surprise.
The property is spotless, modern, and full of world-class facilities — spa, pools, gym, restaurants — plus a fun golf cart campus tour.
Due to the city’s summer heat, we enjoyed the resort more than sightseeing. Special thanks to the Swissôtel team for making our stay so comfortable. If you want a luxury getaway in Almaty, this is the place to be.

Spa as good as Swiss.
This is an amazing hotel in an even better soundings.
Great service with super friendly staff. Large clean rooms.
Spa facilities are good. We had a number of different treatments and all super.
Everything is very reasonable priced too
It know might not be an obvious choice for both in Middle East or Europe… until you have visited.
We have never been here before but is definitely coming back.

A family feast despite the hard start – thanks to you and your team
Reason to choose a hotel:
We are a family of six, and we chose the Swiss-Outlet Mate Hotel for a very special summer holiday with the family, celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary and my son’s birthday....
Our selection was based on the hotel''s excellent reputation and high booking site ratings, as well as its unique location amid the mountains and green nature, and based on our previous great experience with the Swissotel in Jakarta, where we expected to get the same level of professionalism and quality – in most respects after hitting the challenges of the first day.
Hotel location:
The hotel''s setting in the midst of green nature was impeccable in every way, surrounded by amazing views of the Alatau Mountains ...
The views of sunrise, sunset, lake, and green squares around the hotel were magical, adding a sense of comfort and serenity to make our stay so special....
Rooms are showcased across seven floors ... The most beautiful view is at the place where the main restaurant called Quarter (the other way away from the reception ) is located, the mountain is facing east (i.e. sunrise) ...
Bookings:
We booked three classic mountain-view rooms from one of the booking sites, we asked for two interconnected rooms and a corner room, all on a high and quiet floor, we ordered an extra bed, a bathrobe for all bathrooms, and we ordered an extra bed to add ....
Rooms and Apartments:
Initially, the rooms 507 and 508 were dedicated to the babies and are classic rooms according to our standard booking, but they were relatively narrow.... Then on the second day the beds were moved to the Deluxe 529 and 530, which were more spacious and comfortable, so I recommend the Deluxe rooms, as the classic and Deluxe rooms have...
The Deluxe (529 and 530) was more spacious and family-friendly than the first classic rooms (507 and 508).....but the AC was not too cold in the hot summer !!!
For me, I was upgraded to suite #741 on the first night (which was over reception and the air conditioning was a little hot), and then moved to suite #1503 on the remaining four nights, the last one was spacious and fully equipped with a very nice panoramic view..
Suit 1503 is all about comfort and a breathtaking mountain view....
The rooms were clean, modern, and very comfortable... All rooms come with a coffee machine, a TV, a mini fridge, a safe, and trendy bathrooms with a mattresses, which I highly appreciate, but the bathroom doors are wooden pull doors...
We were given a complimentary extra bed and it's so nice...
housekeeping and daily care (home measure):
The housekeeping team led by Johar, Eagle, and Wenzura was very nice.... Daily cleanliness was meticulous and water, towels refurbished, and toiletries were thoughtfully provided. Attention to detail was high, keeping the family entertained throughout their stay...
Important Notice: Some staff were knocking at the door and then entering directly without waiting permission, both from the cleaning service and from the baggage transfer section, which is unacceptable to us as an expectorant.
Check-in and check-out:
Check-in was on Sunday, a weekend, where the hotel was very busy and we encountered a clear challenge during check-in due to the crowds, which was a wait of more than half an hour, due to failure to respect the role order by some guests, but the hotel treats us professionally.
However, from the second day, everything changed thanks to the alternate manager - Farid, who treats us with a high professionalism, apologies for the situation, and himself follows all our needs until the experience turned from frustrating to total satisfaction.
I am also grateful for helping with the check-in despite the crowds, and for the very helpful admin who took me personally around the hotel’s annexes, while the alternate manager-Fairy was Pro following our feedback.
The check-out on Yerkegan was fast and smooth.
I find myself compelled to thank all of the reception staff, especially Farid, Olagas, Adia, Diana, Dana, and Mel) who have treated us with a high level of professionalism and no full impression), and Evas who has helped with some challenges..
Luggage Service:
The service was excellent, with Latev, Hamadan who also helped bring the food, Ali Pick, and Buca transporting the luggage quickly and packaged, and Anthony connected to deliver the food to the room, was very helpful, and carried the luggage professionally when we moved between the rooms.
Breakfast & Food:
Breakfast at Quarter was rich and very varied (served from 7am to 10:30am), with options for everyone’s tastes, there are plenty of sections to suit everyone’s tastes like the cheese and olive section, natural honey, delicious fruits, mango, sushi, salads, baked goods, hot dishes, some sweets, coffee...
Shef Marjan and Janzakova prepared custom-made eggs to us with professionalism, and Heaven and Paradise helped us get good tables fast despite the crowds....
My only note is that the juices were not fresh and disappointing, and the service at the breakfast was very slow.
In Phoenix Lake-only, the experience was exceptional thanks to Director Anil who treated us very professionally and provided great suggestions for the last dinner at the hotel.... The best dish we tried was the white pasta with meat, along with the delicious boson mango juice....
We saw sunset, fish, and duck in the beautiful lake .... We booked the table before we arrived..
Noraie served us with a smile....
When they gave us two complimentary fruit plates to thank us for their warm hospitality...
Operations teams (Call Center):
I've been in touch with Cole Center a few times and Denise, Lisa, Connie, and Arjan were so helpful and quick to respond....
Other Amenities:
There''s a spa on-site, an indoor pool operating from 7 am to 10 pm, and an outdoor pool operating until 8 pm while enjoying the fully equipped gym.... There''s also a children''s playroom, a teens'' playroom with playstation, and even an outdoor tennis court.... And a cafe for coffee lovers ....... The resort as a whole provides an ideal environment for family relaxation.
Value for Service:
Despite a tough start in signing in, the service is 100% better with a unique follow-up and a professional solution to all challenges.... The great location, high cleanliness, and excellent facilities made the price very convenient for the experience....
A nice addition from the hotel was the sending of cakes, fruits, nuts, and sweets for our wedding anniversary and our son’s birthday, which left a positive impact on us, thanks to Farid and thanks to Mader who brought this beautiful surprise....
Overall experience:
Our experience started with a challenging check-in day due to the crowds, but ended with a great stay thanks to Andy and his team....
The location, nature, amenities, and the attention to our service after the first day make a stay so special...
I highly recommend the hotel, but a peak arrival may require extra patience....
I also recommend the General Manager of the hotel to be nearby and present as the other general managers do.....
For us, the Swiss Hotel Mate will still be our first choice when you return to Almaty.... Highly recommended... Thank you so much for your hospitality....

Yesterday we visited the Phoenix restaurant and got there at about 9:30 p.m. For the first 10 minutes, no one approached us, then a girl waiter appeared and brought the menu and warned us that the kitchen was open until 10:30 p.m. We accepted that, asked for a sommelier and asked the waitress to come back in a couple of minutes - while we were picking out dishes.

We ordered wine, chose a hookah, but to our surprise, none of the staff ever returned. My young man had to look for a waiter all over the hall on his own. When the waitress did approach, she simply reported that the kitchen was already closed — without any warning.

We regard this attitude as extremely disrespectful. At the price level that is declared in the restaurant, the service must be commensurate - be attentive, prompt and professional.

The second situation happened already in the hotel room.

Tonight, we ordered a room service and through the front desk, we asked for two extra plates and two pairs of appliances. Thirty-five minutes later, no one brought anything. When we started calling the front desk, our calls were just dropped.

Unfortunately, both cases left a very unpleasant impression. We sincerely hope that the administration will take action and that this treatment of guests will not be repeated.
