The best of Kdz Ereğli
I stayed here on the night of 18 - 19 May 2024. Frankly; I went with hesitation because I saw that there were a lot of negative comments about the hotel on other sites, but since I was only staying for one night, I thought I would manage even if it was bad.
I must admit that I encountered a much nicer hotel than I expected. The biggest advantage of the hotel is that it has a sea view and although it is on the Ereğli - Alaplı intercity road, the noise of the road does not reflect inside, meaning the window insulation is well done. Even though the room I stayed in was not a suite, it was quite spacious and the cleanliness was not bad. There were snacks and soft drinks in the minibar (even though you can't even find water in some five-star hotels in Anatolia). The bathroom was spacious, but you need to be careful when taking a shower because the floor of the shower cabin is slippery. The bed was large and comfortable. Breakfast, contrary to what is written in most comments, was very diverse and delicious. Meanwhile, the upper floor, which is used as the breakfast and dining room, is a place to have a pleasant time due to its width and command of the sea view. The reception, restaurant and room attendants were very polite.
But the external appearance of the hotel should be overhauled. Moreover, the factory at the entrance of the city, combined with the construction site decoration, gives the impression of a third-class provincial hotel. Although its distance from the city is a disadvantage, there is a taxi stand right across the hotel. For those who do not have financial problems, taxi transportation is not a problem (I went from here to the town center yesterday for a fee of around 200 TL).
In short, it is a hotel where those who do not have to go to Ereğli center frequently but have business around Gülüç and the factory can easily stay. Those who will stay for touristic purposes can also choose it, but they have to sacrifice distance and taxi money.

They are very good
We are constantly traveling for business and every time we come to Ereğli, we make our choice because they are clean and hygienic, their attention and care are very good, their breakfasts appeal to everyone, the friendliness and hard work of their staff is very good, which made us choose them as the number one in Ereğli ☺️
