Good stay

Overall, I had a good stay at the Kansas City Marriott Country Club Plaza, but there were a few things that kept it from being a 5-star experience. The location is great, close to the Plaza and major attractions, and the free shuttle service was definitely a plus. Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, with a nice city view.
That said, a few small issues added up. The parking fee felt a bit steep, and the on-site dining options were just average. Service was generally friendly, but not particularly attentive during check-in and at the café. Still, the hotel was well-maintained, and I appreciated the effort to keep things clean and modern.
A solid choice overall, especially if you're looking to stay near the Plaza, but there’s room for improvement.

Solid hotel with no major problems

This hotel is great except for location - and the location will improve when they get the streetcar open (this is obviously not the hotel's fault, but the not-yet-open stop taunted me all stay).
Staff were great, all of them. My room was clean and comfortable and everything in it worked properly. Same note on the conference space and restrooms. My one venture into the bar got me a decent Old Fashioned.
Took off a star for Marriott's insistence on putting a couch in front of the window so you have to climb over it...something not everyone can do...to close the curtain. I say Marriott because this isn't the only Marriott I've stayed in with this problem. Probably somebody in corporate not the hotel people themselves.
Also, one elevator was out for my entire stay, resulting in an elevator bottleneck. I overheard an elevator technician say "Let's see if we can get this old junker running." Maybe next time Marriott has some spare money...
But other than that, great stay.

Hotel stay

I had a great stay at the Marriott Country Club Plaza clean rooms, a comfortable bed, and a perfect location within walking distance of great restaurants and shops. The staff was friendly and professional across the board, and everything from check-in to check-out went smoothly. Joel in particular was helpful, courteous, and made arrival and departure effortless. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable experience, and I’d definitely stay here again.

Garrett is awesome

Garrett was an exceptional valet! He pulled our car around promptly, loaded all of our bags with care, and made the entire experience enjoyable with his friendly attitude and great conversation. His professionalism and warmth truly stood out. Highly recommend!
