Fabulous stay

This hotel is well located, immaculately clean and the customer service is amazing. I lost a necklace during my stay there and not only did a staff member turn it in the front desk held it for me until I could get it. They remembers me and treated me so kindly. The breakfast was also much better than your average hotel breakfast. Great hotel for a great price!

Advertises a restaurant that does not exist!

I chose the Hyatt Place in Greenville, S.C., because of its proximity to a business event that I was attending. Hyatt is an international company which enjoys a great reputation, so who could have expected that when it advertises a restaurant on the property that one would not exist. The website claims under its "amenities" section to have a "restaurant." According to the website, the hotel offers " bistro-style favorites at The Placery. Pair your meal with premium beverages and savor the flavors of Greenville in style." It goes on to offer "a cleverly curated menu that has something for everyone. Try our popular burger, Chicken Caesar Salad, or Turkey Pesto Sandwich. And don’t forget to pair it with one of our premium alcoholic beverages." So, when I went to the front desk and asked about the restaurant, I was told that one does not exist. "We wish we had one," was the reponse I received from the very nice front-desk attendant who offered to "whip me up some fries and wings." The hotel does offer a breakfast for $11. When I went to check out, I wanted to ask questions about my bill. No one was at the desk. I waited. No one came. Finally, I asked a worker who was vacuuming the floor if I could speak to someone. I was told "she is in the kitchen fixing breakfast." So, if you choose to stay here -- and the rooms are nice, and the hotel is very clean -- just go and know that food is not available despite the website advertising The Placery, which is not a place. That is deceptive advertising -- something customers do not expect at a Hyatt.

I'm sorry that you had a poor stay w/ us due to your request for a restaurant. Reading and then re-reading your comments...the problem is poor Front Desk training as their answer when you asked about the restaurant was inaccurate and obviously, immediately made you upset. We do offer a variety of cooked to order items. In addition to the ones you mentioned in your comments, we also have pizzas, a chicken & bacon sandwich and in a couple of weeks we'll be adding chicken tacos, quesadillas, and chicken fingers for the kids. Again, I'm sorry for creating the wrong impression and thank you for taking the time to share your opinions.

Pool needs to be updated . And vallet is inconvenient

Vallet parking is to expensive. Its frustrating to have to ask for my keys to grab something from my vehicle. Also the guest pool needs to be upgraded its tiny and gets filled up quick with all the guest .

I'm sorry we failed to exceed, or even meet your expectations. Indeed, we definitely try to create positive impressions w/ everyone. Regarding valet parking...we do quarterly price assessments w/ all our other downtown hotels and ensure our price for valet stays exactly in-line w/ our competitors. Another option is to use the city-owned parking garage directly across the street. Regarding our swimming pool size...yes, it's not the biggest hotel pool in the world...but it is downtown Greenville's only indoor pool. :-)

My room was clean and ready when I arrived. The staff was excellent. Everyone I met was so friendly and helpful & smiling.

Pretty good

The hotel was fine. The valet was very nice and there person who checked us in was also nice. The carpet in our room was very damp… not sure why and our sink didn’t drain well. We arrived in time for dinner and left super early so it wasn’t worth complaining. The hotel was off the main road but still easy walking distance to everything which was nice.
