Super stay. Highly recommended

We stayed at Tumbleweed Cottage as a stop off on a trip north. Easily located off the A1 and just the most charming night's stay. The cottage has been renovated beautifully- lovely pictures on the wall, great room, comfy bed, sky tv, good bathroom and shower. All well thought out and well done. The breakfast was great. Lots of food - again, well thought out with lots of choice.
The couple who run the cottage are so kind. They both went out of their way to make sure our stay was a good one.

Comfortable and welcoming

Very comfortable The hosts are very welcoming. Breakfast is amazing, but the best thing for us this time ( our second visit) is that the hosts now offer a one course dinner with bottler of wine for two xfor £50. Great deal. Saves driving out for dinner Very nice curry that night

Charming modernised (dog friendly) cottage B&B just minutes off A1

This is a charming cottage located in a quiet village just off the A1. It has been very tastefully modernised and decorated, retaining the charm of the original building, but with modern facilities (lovely en suite, Sky TV etc).
A lot of care has been paid to interior design and to guest comfort - mattress was very comfortable, and had really good night's sleep.
Breakfast was excellent - freshly cooked with local ingredients
The property is dog friendly- and there are good walks along the village street
Really helpful information provided on local pubs and restaurants. I had lunch with friend at Duke William (about 4 miles away) and can totally recommend there as well.
Overall very impressed and will certainly revisit when in the area

Two night midweek stay.

Totally made welcome and looked after from arriving to leaving.
Nice quiet location and very easy to find.
Great guys and a great full English breakfast.
Plenty of teas and coffee, plus other cereals available.
Complementary fruit bowl available too.

Perfect.

I cannot rate Tumbleweed Cottage highly enough. 5 Stars are not enough. Seff and Saan are the perfect hosts and made us feel like we were visiting family. The cottage has a very homely feel, is spotless, and is extremely well laid out. We spent 2 nights there and were very reluctant to leave as it felt like leaving very close friends. I would highly recommend booking dinner during your stay. We will undoubtedly be returning. Many thanks guys for being perfect hosts.
