Perfect Base Camp for Temple Tour

Kumbakonam. City of Temples. And temples galore from Trichy to Chidambaram. Overwhelming.
I chose the Kumbakonam Inn while planning our temple tour. We are an India born couple with a son born in the USA.
Each unit in Kumbakonam Inn comprises a sitting area, kitchenette, large bedroom and bathroom. The bedroom has three very good beds, adequate for four people. Quiet, spacious, CLEAN and comfortable. We slept better here than in North American hotels. Outside the room is a tropical garden with parrots and song birds.
The owner inn keeper, Mr Balaji, knows the temple belt like none other. His guidance was on the spot. He added deeper perspective when appropriate. How did he read our minds? Mr Balaji arranged a good driver for us and, each day, gave him the sequence of temples and places to eat.
We had planned to stay 4 days. Extended it to 9.

Home away from home!!

Excellent service by Balaji and team. Clean rooms with A/C and can accommodate 4-5 people per room with kitchen and seating area.
Secure within a compound with a great garden and atmosphere
Excellent value for money.
Provided fresh coffee tea breakfast and lunch.

Our overall experience in this place motivates us to choose this place again and also recommend this to other friends.

The beds and bathrooms were very clean. No cobwebs!
The owner couple were very attentive, warm hosts. They took good care of us. It is a very safe, reasonably quiet place. Ideal to retire after a tired day. Very well located to visit many temples.

Best stay in Kumbakonam

Quiet space, Comfy beds with fresh clean white linen, soft fluffy white towels, squeaky clean bathroom, cute little house with everything that a family would need for a short stay in Kumbakonam. In case there is something that we needed Mr. Balaji and his wife were there right next door who went above and beyond to help us. He provided us with iron box and ironing board, bought my kids birthday cake very late at night with their names on it, when we couldn't find a bakery in a new place. He was a very genuine caring and kind man that we felt so comfortable with this place, he gave us information about nearest temples, and tips for the best restaurants in town. He was extremely nice and made us feel so welcome. This is so far the best stay that we have ever stayed in our trips to India. We are definitely planning to go back and stay longer next time.

Very Nice place to stay with Family.

Very peaceful atmosphere.The rooms and other amenities are well maintained.Both Balaji n wife are very cordial,took very good care of us during our 2 days stay.Food served is good.
Rooms were clean n well maintained.Got very good guidance for temple visits.
