Clean, comfortable, accommodating, hospitable

I guess there is always the option to stay in a hotel in a larger nearby town, however, you would be forsaking the warmth, generosity and hospitality of your host Francoise. From being collected at the railway station, being guided around town, the expansive breakfast offered and just the general warmth of feeling welcomed into, effectively, her home made this short stay so comfortable. We certainly cannot recommend Le Relais De L’aube highly enough.

Outstanding beyond all expectation.

A 30-hr stopover primarily to visit a WWI war grave. Travelling by train. Booked here on basis of good reviews. SO glad we did!. The care and concern of the owners: picked us up from the station. Drove us out (and back) from the Australian Villers-Bretonneux memorial and cemetery because the rain prevented us from walking it. The super-cute furnishings and knick0knacks all over; comfortable everything. Easily the most hospitable place on our holiday (out of nine, all hospitable in their own right) But her, it;s just on another level. Applause!!!
Breakfast: we had just come from 5 nights in a 4-star inner-Paris hotel with amazing 4-star breakfasts and expected a let down BUT to our delight the breakfast was up there withthe Paris hotel.
The rain didn't fit in with our schedule. Never mind, Francoise picked us up and dropped us off at the rail station, AND chauffered us through the village and out to the War memorial.
If travelling by train, be aware that for Villers-Bretonneux to Amiens trains, you'll have to lug your luggage over a fairly steep footbridge.

Lovely room, great breakfasts, wonderful hosts

I really enjoyed my stay at this lovely establishment and would return without hesitation.
My room was very comfortable; it had all the amenities one could wish for, including good quality bedding. I think it had AC? There is safe off road parking close to the property.
The breakfasts were outstanding, a big selection of high quality items included delicious cooked food if required.
François and Françoise are excellent hosts. I cannot praise them too highly.
Practical information may help future guests. The drive from Eurotunnel Calais takes about 1 hour 45 minutes and is on easy to drive roads, mainly the A16 motorway.
The Australian National Monument is nearby and it is very moving. There is a lot to see at this memorial (and many others) Albert and beyond is easy to reach by car.
I drove to the Glade of the Armistice in Compiègne, about an hour away, and was so pleased that I did.
The railway station is about 20 minutes walk away and has lots do free parking directly outside. Trains to Amiens take about 12 minutes (€8 return) but in the morning the last train is at 8.50. I think you might just about be able to take a day trip to Paris changing trains at Amiens.

Bel endroit, belles personnes, parfait pour un bon séjour à proximité d'Amiens

Le hasard a magnifiquement fait les choses. Nous avons passé de très bons moments chez Françoise et François qui ont beaucoup de choses à partager. Le petit déjeuner est top et les hôtes sont absolument charmants. Accueil super avec jolies petites attentions. Pas loin de la gare pour aller en 10mn à Amiens.
La visite du mémorial australien est fort intéressante aussi.
Ne pas hésiter à faire une halte dans une belle maison si accueillante !
Et éventuellement à profiter du salon de massage.
