1 week all inclusive in Oceana
Perfect place to relax and connect with our inner peace, sea, sky and stars. I enjoyed the variety and quality of its buffets, as well as its Italian restaurant “Napoli” and the oriental “Bamboo” that all its menu is included with the all inclusive (just please improve the recipe of Teriyaki chicken in Bamboo). The service was spectacular and we loved it. We recommend Oceana at all times.

Top hotels in Guatemala
super nice facility on the Pacific coast, around 15 km from the port of Puerto Quetzal. Beautiful large and very clean pools, extremely attentive staff. An incredible place. Highly recommended. Day passes are available for the very fair price of $99 per adult.

If you are thinking about it, Please don’t do it
I have had prior experiences with hotels that do not meet expectations, but this is borderline a scam. The hotel is marketed as a higher-end all-inclusive beach resort, but it is not what it advertises. Let me go point by point.
Although it is supposedly a beach resort, the beach is unusable. It is rough and has rip currents. The beach is littered with plastic and glass debris. There is nothing to do in the area; many abandoned houses around it. The location is desolate, not in a good way.
They serve cafeteria-quality food. When we arrived on a Saturday, the place was packed with people, with just leftover food that looked gross. To be fair, the breakfast was good, and the food in the restaurants you needed to reserve for was edible, yet not up to standards for the price tag.
The hotel was generally clean but small, and there were no available activities. We walked the beach and spent a couple of hours in the small pool near our room, but we spent most of the time inside our room, as there was no point getting out of it, as there was nothing to do.
It appears management wants to turn a quick buck and not have any concerns about their guests and their experience. Over the weekend, the hotel was overrun with people with day passes, and on the subsequent weekdays with corporate events, there were so many people that there was no space in the main pool.
We tried to leave at least a day earlier, but the hotel refused multiple times to give us a refund for the days we were not going to use. Finally, we got the management's attention once the concierge of the credit card company reached out to them, but it was already too late in the afternoon before our check-out day. In hindsight, we should have forgo our money to avoid further frustrations and go elsewhere.
Additionally, the cleaning crew makes tons of noise at all hours of the day and night, and I was woken up a couple of times by the noise.
On the positive side, I have to say that the staff was extremely polite and pleasant. They are very hardworking people, always with a smile on their faces.

As it is nomal for this kind of situation you request a refund to Expedia your Travel Agency and then we set it up with Expedia acondingly with our own business agreement. This is a high season for some corporative business that we acept, at the mean time we offer choices to our guesto to use private pools and areas and restaurants in order not to expose then to the croud. For safety we do no not encourage our guest to swimn in the ocean. As part of our contribution to mather nature we clean the beach contantanly every single high tide the ocean brigs mor garbiWe hope you might consider giving us another opportunity in the future to provide you with a more enjoyable stay.

Had a great time. They had great activities throughout the two days. Food was great. Bartenders and staff were awesome. Especially Marcony, the bartender made us feel like family. Thank you Oceana

Restaurant staff very friendly
In Guatemala we only have 2 all-inclusive options on the beach, and in my opinion the price/quality ratio in the 2 is overrated. The very rich food to be an all inclusive as usually not very good food but here yes and the attention of the waiters and very friendly restaurant staff, I can not say the same of the people of the front desk disorganized and without a smile and even heavy. Otherwise we had a great time they should check the prices well because there are hotels outside the country, on maybe nicer beaches and cheaper.
