Stay anywhere in Gilroy but here
DO NOT stay here. This is not a normal motel/hotel. I’ve never stayed in a motel room that looked like a room in a corrections facility before. The people are nice—let me say that up front. It’s not about the staff. But even the guy who pointed the way to my room said, “Why are you *here*?” as if even he thought the idea of staying where he worked was absurd. The rooms are above a gas station convenience store. There’s no obvious way in—you have to go through a steel gate that I thought was protecting a heating unit. The room has almost nothing in it—not a bedside table, not a lamp, not a headboard, no art—just peeling paint and nails where decorations must have been. Even the TV remote was given to me when I checked in—I guess they can’t safely leave anything in the room. The floor was swept but filthy. The water from the faucet was cloudy. They should shut down, renovate, and charge double. It’s not worth even $80 a night if you’re worried about bedbugs and foul water.

Stay away from here
The owner asked me to pay the room even if it was already paid through booking.com. I answered I was not going to pay two times for the same room but they replied they didn't get any money from booking. I decide to leave and find another place. So... unless your dream is sleeping in a fuel station (where check-in desk is actually located)... stay away from here.

Budget motel
This motel sits on top of a convenience store/truck stop. It is somewhat noisy during the day. The Wifi was great. Hot water. If your on a budget, this is the place. No bed bugs but it did have a microwave and small fridge. I couldn't get the tv to work but I wasn't worried, I don't watch much tv. Just beware, it is a busy area with trucks and customers coming in and out of the store.

This place is a dump! Furniture 1 bed 1 desk. No bedstand, the carpet is filthy covered with stains. The "front desk" is a very young man sitting at cash register for convenience store/gas station. No explanation on where rooms are or where are to find stairs. Being handicapped I needed to use escalator..ha! Walls have peelings paint and toilet paper roll on floor. My advice, find a different place. Sounds like indy 500 outside at 9:30pm.

General Store
This place is an all in one kinda deal. There's the INN and the Truck Stop & General Store. I didn't stay in a room at the INN so I don't know about that part, cause I'm a truck driver and I stay in my truck. However, the General Store sales everything, especially Garlic items, hint the Garlic Farm part, lol. The food inside is a sandwich shop, also have a Baskin Robbins too. Didn't eat from sandwich shop cause we have our own food on truck, saves money. However, not too pricey. Now for the drivers lounge, well not much but table, chairs and computer area. Restrooms not kept clean but can't blame them for that cause people don't pick up and clean up after themselves so I did, looked clean after I left. Now here's my issue as a truck driver, I need good shower, unfortunately this was my worst shower experience of over 5 years driving. Shower cost $8 and not worth it, let me just say my worst Pilot shower was better than this one. Water comes out like a water hose. Other than that I'm clean, it's a shower. Now for the parking lot, parking is FREE and starts filling up by 5pm, maybe has 50 spots and stinky trash spell, but other truck stops spell like pee, thanks to the I don't care truckers pouring out pee jugs. NASTY...
So over all, we parked here to check it out for parking close to our load pick ups and 24 hour store and especially restroom.
